Default gIRL IN nEEd....Of ADvICe

I'm planning on surprising my boyfriend with A set of lowering springs and shocks. BUT I know nothing about lowering a vehicle, even though I’m into cars myself…..just not that aspect. I’m writing to you guys/girls in here to find out which would be a good, not decent…but GOOD set of springs/shocks to buy. I’d appreciate it if you’d give me some ideas and maybe the source of where to get them. Thanx in advance……..

Well, how low do you wanna go? A GOOD shock would be Koni yellows. They are adjustable, but are fairly expensive. Neuspeed, Eibach, H&R are all good springs. If you want a good adjustable setup, why not get a NICE set of coilovers? Check out TEIN, they have some nice coilover setups from what I've heard.

question. what kinda car does he drive?

if it's a civic or integra. look into Tein's SS or Flex. They are kinda costly, around $900 for SS and $1400 for Flex. That's a set up a lot of people are gettin' or have. with the SS's you can't change the damper (shocks) where in the Flex's you can.

for something that's a nice ride, ground control and koni yellow's. that will run you about $800-900. With this set up you can change the damper (shocks)

With these you don't have to worry about how "LOW" he wants it b/c they are adjustable height wise.

Correct me if i am wrong on any of this

KYB AGX shocks and Tein S-Tech springs. Go to http://www.groupbuycenter.com and you can find great deals on both items.

This really depends on what kind of money you want to spend.

Personally I have KYB AGX's and Eibach Prokit springs and I love them. It's very cost effective for the level of performance you get.

If you have deep pockets hook him up with some a Tien setup...gonna cost you though.

Really depends on what you're looking to spend. We could recommend some of the highest quality, great handling suspension set ups, but it may be way more expensive than what you had in mind. Do you have an idea of approximately how much you're going to spend?

Werd! Sounds like you are probably on a budget, so I would agree with Archdictus and suggest a set of KYB AGX's, and some Tein Springs, or even H&R Race if he wants to get really low

Good idea. Plus cost effective. I also like the Tein's, with those you can't go wrong.
