help with 94 integra clutch bleeding
Can I bleed the clutch in my 94 integra by myself? I have tried unsuccessfully, I even took the master cylinder off the tranny and pushed in the little booted thing a few times. I think now I might be low on fluid so i'm goin to get some....Just hopin for some help on here when i get back thanks
You can reverse-bleed it. That's how my Saab has to be done...
You’ll need a pump or syringe to pump brake fluid into the bleed screw. I used a MityVac bleeding kit, but I filled the cup with fresh fluid & switched the pump to pressure. Others have used big veterinary syringes or pump-type oilcans that are new & clean.
You’ll want something like a turkey baster to suck fluid out of the reservoir. But don’t ever use it again in the kitchen. I have a battery hydrometer that I broke the float...
Remove most of the fluid from the reservoir. Pump your fresh fluid just enough to remove air from the hose. Attach the hose to the bleed screw and put a rag under the bleed screw. Open the screw a good bit; my first time I didn’t open it very far and most fluid came out through the bleeder threads instead of pumping into the system. Pump your fresh fluid into the bleed screw, and it will flow towards the master cylinder and into the reservoir.
