I want to do the type-r conversion next year aswell.

I'm just wondering if my jdm si zc mounts are in the same place as your usdm si mounts.

If they arnt, then i dont know how i'm gonna carry this conversion out, as i was going to purchase one of the mount kits that are out on the market

alot of people have done it, and now that the hasport kit is out, alot more people will be doin it. it almost makes it to easy . just get the hasport mount kit w/hydro tranny mount, your all set, beside the wirin and misc. other parts you need.

I've had the HaSport Cable to Hydro Conversion for my CRX for awhile now. I'm anxiously waiting for some misc. parts to get back from the POWDER COATING shop. That is the only thing that is preventing me from finishing my ITR CRX swap right now.

In the meantime, I have since upgraded the HF master cylinder to a 3rg gen Prelude one while the engine is out. ( I'm running the JDM front brakes/knuckle/control arm set-up on my HF since I had to change the hubs anyway for the swap)

If I hadnt sent misc. parts of my ITR swap in for powder coating, my ITR swap with Hydro tranny would be running by now. Oh well, at least it will look PURRTY!

Well as far as the mounts go, a ZC is a direct bolt-in for USDM chassis owners. I would think the Hasport kit should also work for you.

Some supporting info at: http://crx.honda-perf.org/arti....html

The B16 cars had the mounts in slightly different locations. Didn't they sell VTi's or something like that over there. Maybe you could get someone to pop their hood so you can compare.

There used to be a picture at: http://honda.hybrids.jp (I think its down right now) in the swap section that shows the measurable difference between USDM motor mounts on the chassis vs. JDM mounts for a SiR. Should look the same when you do compare to a VTi.

Thanks for those sites XrcR6, yea, our CRX VT's and the jdm CRX Si-R mounts are in slighty different locations compared to the zc motors.

I didnt know that the zc was a direct bolt in in your usdm crx's, thats handy to know, because now, like you said, the mount kits for a b series swap should work fine with my car

Sorry if this has been asked before, but which company sell the best mount kits?
I've heard of Hasport...are they the best really?

Regards,
Dan!!

Im in the process of doing it. I will be using the cable to hydro conversion from HA Sport and fabricating a custom tranny mount for my SiR but the only thing holding me back right now is lack of spare cash. (Thats the consequence of purchasing a house) Ive got the motor and tranny but need to buy the converter, etc. Never mind, my time will come - hopefully within the next year or so.
