flywheel question
which flywheel should i get. A d16z6, d16a6 or zc one for my sohc zc. i have in there right now a stock dx one from an 88 in my 88 hatch. plz help
The engine doesn't matter, any one will work as far as the engine is concerned.
the difference depends on what tranny and clutch you want to use:
1. If you're sticking with the 88 tranny, and you want to keep using the same clutch, then you'll need to keep the 88 flywheel in there.
2. If you're sticking with the 88 tranny, and want to get a 212mm clutch intead of the 88's 200mm, then you can get any 90-2000 D-series flywheel (they're all pretty much the same), a 90-91 civic pressure plate, and an 88 accord clutch disk.
3. If you're getting a 89-91 tranny, then get any 90-2000 d-series flywheel (see above), and a 90-91 pressure plate and clutch disk.
