CHOICE OF TIRES QUESTION
I just put AVS ES 100's on one of my CRX's
Unbelievably great tire.
So far the best tire I've ever used.
No noise, great wet or dry. Not as hard as AVS intermediates, but the tread wear is supposedly twice as long, and I got 30-35k out of the AVS ints. Softer riding too. Just put Potenza RE92's on the GSR yesterday, so it's too soon to tell. lol.

do NOT go with kumho 712's. They're teh worst tires I've experienced. Well, not as bad as Rage RoadHugger Extremes
I'd recommend the avs es100's. It's too early to tell how good my new yokohama avid h4's are, but so far, they're pretty good.
edit: search

Yokohama AVS ES100's are pretty good. If you can shell out the extra 80 bucks or so, Parada Spec 2's are good tires. They worked real well in dry/wet conditions for me....felt a little better than AVS ES100's.

i can only say good things about the 712's for driving around the town. but for thr track and auto-x thats a different story.

DO NOT GET: Toyo FZ4's. I have a set of 205/40/17 and they suck... The only good thing is the tread life. At 65 + the car shakes like crazy (like wheel balencing is off, which it is not for all you smart asses who will say, get the your car balenced!!!)

im on my second set of es100s and i like them alot i got 15000 miles out of my last set and i usually get about 10000 so im happy good wet and dry tire and very predictable at the limit the best tires i ever had were bfg g force r1s amazing but only lasted 3000 miles and could not be driven in the rain and since they dont make them anymore i guess it doesnt matter i havent tried the kds or kdws tho

S-03
S-03
712 is good thick tires and it last longer, it also good handling on street but not for track. I just got bridgestone pozenta 750R spec tires. Look pretty grippy. 96 dollars each tire but kuhmo run for 58 dollars, you decide what you like the best for your tire. Why I pick the pozenta tires is that, best hydroplanning and it can grip handling is closer to s-03 tire.
