Sorry for the lack of details, that happened from Hydro-lock(my CAI sucked up water like a straw).... I am currently building an h23/vtec to replace the block

It was pretty deep, it was during a severe thunderstorm w/ flash flooding, that the road I was on got some of, it was at LEAST 6 inches deep, but my wheel well had also worn off, so the water from my tires was probably spraying the water right into the filter

Damn MAN !!!! That $hit almost happened to me once on my old H23!!!! I new cause I pulled it outta gear while I was going through the water, I could begain to hear my idel die> Pulled over in the poring rain and rimped out the CAI!! Threw the Ice man one for the way home!!!

Yeah I was too afraid of this happening so I just put the cone where the 2nd piece that goes into the fender well would connect. Battery makes a nice heat shield. No water problems.
