you advance the timing by turning the dist a certain amount thus advancing how much the spark will ignite before TDC in doing this you must use premium gasoline to avoid pinging or detonation.

the TB coolant bypass is rerouting the coolant line that flows under the TB into the FIV by removing the FIV and feeding the coolant line to the IAC. in my opinion the FIV only serves a purpose if you live way up north and plan to park your car in -15 or colder weather thus your tb can freeze

weight reduction, free mods (some already listed), also nitrous if you want real power.....i/h/e is a joke I see it more as finishing touches anymore....not really a place to build power, just to "polish" existing power.

remove your power steering
take out extra weight
I run advanced timing because of the throttle response, not sure if it adds power.
Did I mentin weight reduction?

some weight reduction and some simple bolt-ons but don't expect miracles... if you already have a catback exhaust, a 2.25" test pipe is cheap and gives you some power...

on the throttle body assembly, there's a coolant line run though the entire throttle body to warm up the tb but it would also heat up the tb(heat is your enemy, most of the time)
