Default 94 H22 Accord owners.. header question

Well my swap has been in for about a year now but i don't have a cat. the dc sports h22 header downpipe is too long and pretty much connects to the exhaust with an adapter plate. At first this was fine but the car is too freaking loud. Can i use the downpipe from the accord dc sport header so i can put in a cat as well or will this not work? How did you guys do it?

thanks

chris

Does anyone know if I could use the top half the DC Sports H22 headers with the bottom half of the F22 headers so i can throw in a cat? Will the bolt patterns line up?

thanks

no the bolt patterns are way different on the h22 and f22

you would have to cut and weld the downpipe section

what kind of exhaust you running?

What i would do is cut the front of the exhaust some, so that you can place and weld a cat in there, this way when you do something else with the car, you can still sell the header.. you ll have more resale value of the header then exhaust

werd, hasn't this been mentioned many times before. i don't see why the swap shop wouldn't have done that to begin with.

btw. DC headers for the H22 suck, you should have gotten Greddy or use a JDM H22 header.

can't really complain when you get the headers for free. As for the swap shot not doing that, I told them not to cut and weld the muffler. I wanted to see if i could get around that.. just haven't had the time to check...

thanks for all the help.
