I am looking for a transmission for my '97... My understanding is that any of the prelude and 4 cyl accord transmissions will bolt up and the only difference is the gearing.

I have found several 92-96 transmissions. Most are 4th gen VTECs and one is an SI tranny. The guys with the SI transmission say it won't bolt up to a h22a because it's a "2.3l" I know the difference between a 2.2 and a 2.3 is the stroke, but you know how parts guys are when their almight book shows different.

Can someone verify that a 92-96 VTEC and SI transmission will bolt into a 5th gen? Thanks in advance!!!!
