Hey guys, I've been searching and seem to get more confused with each thread I read. I have a zc d16 in my 1990 hatch. I purchased it from the guys in Raleigh NC, Japan Direct. I was under the impression this is pretty much a d16a6. Is that right, or not? All the zc discussions threw me off. I understand of course that the DOHC zc is a different monster all together.

Any help to clear this up would be appreciated. I just want to get the facts straight in my head. I was looking at possibly getting a cam soon, and I just saw that the ZC cams are different. I decided to stop and ask before I went any further.

 

hmm theres a jdm sohc v ZC...known as d16z6 but dont think thats the one that ur looking for because this one has vtec

 

yes... there is a JDM SOHC non-vtec ZC too... its identical to a a6.

 

i read the jdm zc sohc cam is almost similar to a zex 59300 cam, so i bought one for my sohc hybrid project.
