Default The long awaited HyTech header and TODA B Dyno plot

Here are the items that are installed in my vehicle:
California 91 octane
TODA B cams
TODA cam gears
TODA valve springs
Portflow Ti retainers
Comptech Icebox intake
HyTech header
Carsound 54006 cat Way to small!!
Comptech cat-back
A'PEXi PowerFC
J&S safeguard
RC 440cc/min injectors
Mugen MF-10's Bronze 16"
Falken Azenis 215-45/16

We spent 3 hours playing with the cam gears, fuel maps, timing maps, VTEC crossover, which is currently at 7450 due to restriction in cat and 2 1/4" exhaust, you name it and we played with the settings, high to low cam is currently at 6000rpm which removes the dip and provides a slightly better plot up top(we ran it to VTEC, then slowed back down to 6200 so that we did not dip out of VTEC then ran a plot from there, this plot is not shown)...this is what it finally is, thanks to RBoosted717 for taking this photo:

Well, there goes B18cxR's title as the smoothest dyno plot for an R motor!!

VERY nice ...... linear power all the way up to redline!

Compression is next, huh?

Looks good....a little bit more compression will help raise that torque #.

It was very helpful, as the car was pretty much tuned from when I was last at Comptech. I was able to make adjustments to the timing curve, fuel curve, vtec cross over, adjust the idle rpm, lets just say it was very helpful...it also made it possible for me to run the 440cc/min injectors.

Nice .. But were didi you gain the power with the Hi-Tech header.??? and don't you think the 440cc injectors are a little overkill.??Or what injector dity cycle is the FC telling you that your running at.??? I thought that I would get 310cc and call it a day.?? Let me know Bro..

With the FPR, you can use the 310's, but I decided to go with the 440's for the better atomization pattern...look below for a picture of my injectors...

310's on the left
440's in the middle
Ford something on the right(designed for an 850whp supercharged mustang)

I thought you had a Hy-Tech catback with Twin-Loop? That'd help, eh?

wow, nice dyno. I'm jealous!

Not flaming here, seriously not flaming ok guys..but it's funny how on your mods list you listed all of your performance enhancement for your engine and then you listed your wheels and tires. Someone like me might be under the impression that the Wheel and tire combo gives you extra HP. LoL

Sorry for wasting space. I'm just bored.

Yes Kengs -

The FC is very helpful if in the right hands. All adjustments to the fuel/ing. maps right @ your finger tips. Plus chit loads of sensor voltages for troubleshooting. I have yet to put a stock ecu and FC plot (before and after) sidebyside, but rest assured, it's money well spent if you can operate it.

I just wanted to give everyone an idea of what the entire setup included...the tires are a little over 23lbs. a piece

Currently I am running the Comptech cat-back exhaust, which seems to be a slight bottleneck.

On a dyno that measures horsepower at the wheels(i.e. while engine is still in car) your wheel and tire combo is an important factor and it could change results rather drastically.

I agree, which is why I posted them...my tire/wheel combination are around 36lbs each, just over 12lbs for the MF10's, and just over 23lbs for the tires, though the tires are huge at 215-45/16(yoshi stated that they were larger than his Kumho 225's), which will provide a greater rolling resistance than the stock 195-55/15, maybe next time I'm at a dyno(months from now) I'll redyno the car with the stock tire/wheel combo.
