Why the swap?
I am new to this whole swap thing, but it sounds like fun, I have found an 85 CRX I am purchasing tomorrow. The motor is blown "not sure where" But I was wondering if anyone has rebuilt the stock engine and just added nothing but high performance componets? This is something my neighbor and I are getting ready to do. Just curious if I would gain that much by just doing a swap instead. Well, Let me hear it people, Am I wasting my time by simply rebuilding or not?
Depending on if you have an Si or not (its the only Fuel Injected 3rd Gen) than I would do either an 88-89 Integra or Brown Top ZC swap in your car. Screw the stock engine.
like i said, im new to this so, of course i have a questin for ya.. where can i find this motor? if i put the same money into it, will i get the same performance? Or will i get more bang for the buck doing the b16a swap? either way, all the componets will be changed inside. I plan on spending some good money on everything and i have till summer before i need to bring it out. I just want to get the most for my money.
