Everyonce in a while my car wouldn't start the first time. Finally yesterday it won't start at all. It would start for a second and then quickly die. Now it doesn't even start for that second. It cranks now, and i'm pretty sure its the alternator. Can anybody confirm this or have any other ideas?

Have you tested your battery?

If it was your alternator, your car would die while you were driving.

 

Check all the screws on the alternator cause one of my came loose. It would start one day then the next it wouldnt.Ground wire was loose. Just check all wires.
Does it Idle?

 

if its just the altenator, your car will run on the battery (with a push start). i know cuz ive driven with JUSt the battery.

 

yeah usually if it's alternator, the car dies while your driving it. if it won't start check the ground wires to the starter. check the connections at the starter, and trace them back to the block etc... i think there are two, i think. if they're loose or not connected, won't start.
