Default Questions for rebuilding block

wussup everyone?
i have a 94 ls with 124,000 miles and im going ls/vtec. i have a 00' si head and i was wondering what i have to do to rebuild my motor so its practically brand new and reliable.

the parts im planning or ordering are:
-itr pistons w/ring and pins
-ls rod bearings
-gsr oil pump, water pump, timing belt
-ls distributor
-gsr or itr tranny and new clutch

is there any other things that i should replace?

thanks

If you use the LS distributor you will have to grind off one of the ears so it will fit the vtec head.

Throw some new Eagle rods and a crank girdle in there while everything is out.

Aftermarket rods are a must (along with ARP rod bolts) and a girdle is good insurance so there is less chance of spinning the bearings.

Also, get new main journal bearings as well.

I would replace the front and rear main seals, and increase the flow of the oil pump (as seen on the Endyn site).
