Default my friends tire suggestions for better traction

i was wondering if 245/50/15s would fit on a stock k20 swapped 7th gen civic my friend has. can you pull better g's in the skidpad, or will you rub like hell. i hear some peeps have 245s on their civic. i need a suggestion whether i can help him fit those on on there with no wheel well mods. if i had to mod my wheel well, what should i do, roll the fenders or shave the strut a little bit? do any of you guys have 245s on a civic?

Just soak your tires in pickle juice for 3 days.
That lowered my ET by a whole second.

I ran a 225 with about 12 Pounds in each tire and it lowered my ET>
