HAHAHA.....too bad the Japanese racers got it from good ol American hot rodders from way back in the 40's....lol.
It's been a cheap mod ever since people have been modding cars. It allows hot air to escape out of the engine bay.
I had to raise mine up a bit to allow clearance for my shock mounts
...looks like butt but the car handles better

That is an JDM old school way of cooling off the engine and does work..
