Default Hood Mod.......



If you notice...the hood is arched a lil where it meets the windshield...i was just curious as to how this is done and why.....

1. it wasn't cut or molded properly @ factory
2. it's not the right one
or 3. it's been put on wrong.

spacers were put in to allow for air flow. its been done in japan for a while to help cool motors especially ones using forced induction

i notice alot of drifters use it also.....like in last months something....on the power pages a gunmetal gray 240sx wit an sr20 had it......

HAHAHA.....too bad the Japanese racers got it from good ol American hot rodders from way back in the 40's....lol.

It's been a cheap mod ever since people have been modding cars. It allows hot air to escape out of the engine bay.

I had to raise mine up a bit to allow clearance for my shock mounts ...looks like butt but the car handles better

That is an JDM old school way of cooling off the engine and does work..
