If a door is roughed up (massive ding over body line), what can i do?
Does the whole door need to be replaced? Or is there a way to replace the "skin" on the door? Orrr, can a body shop bondo over something like that?
Well my car has been drug on both sides. So it looks like I tried to squize down a tight alley. However, I'm a recent owner so it wasn't me. LoL. What I plan on doing is getting a new door all together or replacing what I can and using a propain torch heating the door up. Ordering these plainers (metal tools used to flatten, rough, create a bulg or whatever you need) to shape the door, body panels and purchase new front fenders from a whole saler. I might save myself something like 3k worth of work. I'll then look for a nice hood, maybe custom make a front and rear bumper (fiber glass, does good work with fiber glass. Had del sol destried by gaurdrail and was able to resurrect the bumpers and side skirts and resell them at half price. The buyer was so impressed he gave me another 100 bucks for the work.) I'll then look at purchasing the side modeling from wings west or something and rear wing. I'm sorry but I love that wing.
