I have a set of skunk 2 stage 3 cams, but all i hear from everyone is, get stage 2's for my b16.... so i think im just gunna give in, because well, i can't wait to put some cams in, and 2's are a lil bit more mild than 3's... but still looking for a good opinion... what should i do?

even at very high compression, I think the stage 3s would be too much for the 1.6.

Get the twos.

 

run the 3's. i ran them in my b16 and it loved them. my friend now has them in his hi comp b16 and made more power then his 2's.

 

Stage 2's unless your fully built.....REASONS....sk2s3's are alittle much for streetability and most poeple dont even tune there car to get max power out of the cams they have/or they dont have the setup to utilize the power....Tons of poeple throw on jun 3's or some other high profile cams and think there ready to go....Fact is you WILL make more power with the new cams...but with your setup fully tuned 2's will make more power than the 3's...untill you see higher compression. For instance my sk2s1's are performing better than most poeple with s2's.....why they dont have the comression to take full advantage of the power thats there with the high cams...
