I just purchased a HID kit for my 1996 Integra and was wondering what was the best places to mount the HID ballasts in the engine bay. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pics would be a plus. Thanks.

 

where did you get the kit from and how much did u pay?

 

Both sides are occupied on the non-ITR's... the GSR ABS is big and bulky, so you can't mount the ballast in front of the ABS..the driver's side is occupied by the cruise control. I will post up some pics of where I put the ballasts on my GSR later on.

 

I got the HIDs off of Trevor's group buy. Tony, thanks for the help. Just post the pictures whenever you're free. I just need to find a place to mount the HID ballast in my GS-R.

 

 

No problem I will see if I can get the photos uploaded by tomorrow. Damn, how I wish I had the Type-R ABS module!

 

I mounted the right-side ballast can be mounted under the ABS pump bracket. Remove 3 12mm bolts and rotate the bracket up enough to allow you to slip the ballast with sticky velcro under the bracket. Clean the area using Quick detailer or equivalent. Take care not to scratch the upper radiator support with teh ABS pump bracket b/c it is pretty long. If you do, fill it in with touch-up paint.

On the driver's side, unbolt the window washer reservoir bolt and the cruise control module box. Tuck the ballast against teh side wall facing upward. Make sure that the hood can close all teh way without it smashing the wires. Remount the cruise control module and window washer reservoir.
