is buying new cam gears worth it even for an SOHC motor? What brands are good for 6th gen accords and how will it help my performance? How much hp added? Thanks erry1

 

well all u can do with a single cam is move the powerband around, the over lap is fixed, cause it is a single cam....

 

so they don't even sell cam gears for SOHC? cuz it's basically useless?

 

they do sell, but its not totally useless, you can find some more hp but not much, just play around with it, i had to tune mine to my current set up cause i only had power in vtec, now i have power from 3k on up

 

oh cool.......around how much hp would you say a good cam would add? what brand is good and how much would it cost?

 

well it depends man, it is a tuning tool really, it wont instantly give you power you have to take the time and adjust and play with it, go on group buy center they should have a gb on skunk i think, but really a cam gear is a cam gear, just personal taste too
