Default Problem with my starter.....

Well as the topic states I have a problem with my car starting. When I try to start the car the starter does not turn over, no click, nothing. It only starts with the key sometimes. So I took my starter out and had it checked at checker and everything turned out fine. So I put the bastard back in and still nothing. So what I did is I got a screw driver and touched the 12v to the solinoid and it turned over(hot wired it). What do you guys think might be the problem? One more thing the car is a '89 crx si w/B16.

TIA

Sounds like your starter solinoid is messed up. Or your ignition switch, but since you said it started when you touched it with a screw driver then I would say its the starter.

I don't think it's that cause sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't.

I had that problem a long time ago. A mechanic I had at the time fixed it with a chrysler part. I honestly do not know what it is (maybe a relay of some sort). Sorry.

The thing is I replaced the starter several times and it was always good. I still have it working with the box. I'm sure its a bad connection or a ground

Hope that helps
