Default Short Block Cahrlie's (Phoenix,AZ)

Has anyone heard or dealt with this machine shop here in Phoenix?

I spoke with the owner of the White SRD Hatchback (CRVTEC swap) at the track on Saturday night...and he said he had his head work done at this shop. I was impressed by his setup as he said he made 212 WHP and is only running 10.0:1 CR...so he must have good headwork/cams to be putting down those numbers.

I called the shop and the prices seem very reasonable (compared to say...Portflow).

interested in seeing what mods this guy has. What cams and stuff. There was a good post that Michael Delaney posted the other day about head porting, check it out. But no I have never heard of that place, you should go there and see if you can get names of people who had work done there and see if you can contact them to get there overall experience.

the guy who drives the white HB at SRD is Michael...all I know about his setup is that he is running Endyn 10:1 pistons, head work done by Short Block Charlie's and he is using JUN 3 cams. Not sure on the fuel setup or ECU...although I know he said he revs to 8200.
Ill try and contact him (Michael) and see if he is willing to reveal what all as done to the head (bigger valves? just port & polish?)

Is that the same shop they send their customers to? If so, I had my old Eclipse ported and polished by them and it seemed to be a very nice job. Never had the work dynoed but by the seat of my pants it was a very nice power boost up high (past 6000 there was an almost vtec kick- very nice).

BTW, how was Mike running that night?
