Default clutch question - ZC motor w/ crx Si tranny What clutch?

I need a clutch for a ZC engine with a 90 crx si tranny. Can I just use a D series clutch like for a d16z6 or will i need a pressure plate to fit the flywheel and a diffrent disc to fit the tranny? If they are from the same clutch kit what car should I order it for?

Use the SI clutch disk, pressure plate and the ZC flywheel. The clutch must match the Transmission input shaft. Be sure to get the larger SI Disk/Pressure Plate. The SI is a D series motor and so is the ZC so the flywheels are interchangeable.

so just order a clutch kit for a 91 CRX Si huh? By "larger Si disc/pressure plate" do you mean that the Si one is larger than non-Si (like a DX) for that generation or that there are big and small Si ones? thanks for your help

Yes there are two size clutch disks that will fit both the transmission input shaft and the flywheel. Just take the old clutch disk and slide it onto the input shaft if it fits then take it with you when you buy the clutch set. The larger disk must be matched with the larger pressure plate but both will fit the SI flywheel. If you go to a true parts store (Not AutoZone ...... etc) they wil help to match the larger of the two disks with your input shaft.

Use the 90+ flywheel and the 90-91 clutch which are 212mm. Most ZC flywheels are 200mm and the later 212mm clutch will not fit. The 212mm D series clutches are all 20 spline and use the same pressure plate and disc. The release bearing was changed for '92 and newer years. It is only the 200mm ones (88-89) that get confusing since they had 21 spline discs in '88 and 20 spline discs in '89 and who knows which you get from overseas. If you need to get a 212mm flywheel, anything from '90 and newer D series will be the same.
Better yet, buy an XACT forged flywheel and get some better engine response. Oops, shameless plug.

So the ACT 600115 and 600120 flywheels will definatly bolt to ANY ZC? which HDSS or HDOO kit would fit the Si tranny and the above FWheels?

part #s would be great since i sell your fine clutch products (another plug for ya )

Is the HC4-HDOO the one I want to sell him, as far as fitment goes?

I'm getting more info on the motor (year, dispacment, etc..) tomorrow if it will help.
