HX Wheels Don't fit Integra...
My brother and I are leaving for AZ today. Friend of mine loaned me his 14" HX wheels for the road. They don't clear the front brakes...They shake the whole car and you have to give it hella gas to move. Is there anything that I can do to make them fit? Machine the wheels or some ****? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
You have to shave a little meat off of the calipers so they clear properly. I would NOT recommend driving the car in it's current state, if you already aren't doing so. You could try spacers as well but they'll just end up throwing off the balance of the wheel and it will still continue to wobble. Could someone post a pic of the exact area where the calipers need to be trimmed?

Just... "do stupid **** to your car so you can be cheap on wheels" ? No, put the damn stock wheels on until you can stop being a cheapass.
Those four wheels are the only thing keeping you alive when you're going down the road at 80 mph. You said you're about to go on a long road trip. Things need to be in good condition. No ghetto style.

What? Did you ever think he may not HAVE his stock wheels or something?
Id rather ride cross country on 14s than 17s or 18s.
Plus maybe he doesn't want to mess up his aftermarket wheels.

no kiddin, most common washers aren't all the same thickness anyway (can you say wobble wobble wobble on the wheel?), and all the loading transferred thru the wheels would have to go thru those tiny washers.

The only wheels I had were my 17's. I had to leave the 17's in TX because they were going to be sold that weekend. I didn't want to drive all the way to AZ with them and then just have to ship them back to TX
I didn't have any other wheels. THe guy who I was selling the 17s to GAVE me his stock HX wheels that he had sitting in his garage. So I thought, SWEET!. I'll throw these on, sell them afterwards, and combine the cash to get me some VOLKS
I just needed to get to AZ first. I figured it out though guys, I gotta good friend who owns a wheel shop and he got me some spacers....THanks for all the replies
<----- Didn't know there were such things as spacers
