kind of.
Unless your selling your car...
Why would you be willing to settle for Oem sound, when you could put something of quality in it's place ?
worst case with your deck, take it back to the dealer and have them unlock it.
you check for the "code-card" in your owners book?

on the new radios you can press preset #1 and preset #6 while you turn the radio on... that gets you the # you have to give the dealer w/o ripping the radio out (just an FYI for any of you who have disconnected the battery but haven't taken the radio out). If you *locked* the radio, as in tried 3 times and guessed wrong (which I did because I thaught I had remembered it) you have to pull power to it for a few minutes, and then try again.

thats good information and will save some people a lotta money in labor charges honda and other places will charge to do this if it does work on all the new radios

The '01 Accord has a security code?
Some times I think that my '99 Accord was the only Accord that doesn't have a security code for the radio, which I like since it sounds like the security code is a PITA.
