a/f gauges and meters revisited: what is the best one for the money?
Ok guys, we've talked about these before but which one is the best bang for the buck (and most accurate)?
I'm looking for something as accurate as possible (wideband functionality), yet inexpensive, and able to recalibrated... Standalone if possible.
BTW: where is the best place to put a bung for one of these things? Collector of header? cat? b-pipe?
Right now, I'm looking at haltech, blitz, and motec... maybe greddy...
What do you guys think of these?

http://www.hondata.com/accessories.html
http://gadgetseller.com/gauges/
What are the pro's/ con's of each of these? Others you would recommend?
Thanks!

nobody knows anything huh?
I saw an ad for haltech halmeter 30 in a magazine for ~$240 and it has it's own o2 sensor... Sounds pretty accurate...

I have the halmeter and its nice to have 30 leds but its still only a narrow band
meter. You can get it w/o the o2 sensor, since you already have one for like 130.
imo, its one of the best standard af meters out there.

Any of the a/f meters that use your factory O2 sensor will not be accurate. the Greddy unit is pretty good because it has it's own O2 sensor...not wide-band...but much more accurate than the other meters using the factory sensor. The last one of those 3 didn't seem like it comes with it's own O2 sensor, so I wouldn't look at that one any further. For the other 2, the Motec is the only one I've heard of and have heard good things about it (at least the older, more expensive version). I've also heard very good reviews about the Haltech's, but they might have been referring to the more expensive versions. For $300, the Greddy unit is good. Will you be doing a lot of custom mapping and tuning? If not, those badass expensive ones won't really help.
Well, I found the one at http://www.halmeter.com is like ~$240, but it comes with it's own o2 sensor... I guess that's still narrow like what sgT is referring to.
I will be doing a lot of tuning, yeah. Spec B's now, and maybe spec C's later or maybe boost... I want something that I can use for my own butt dyno tuning as well... Then I'll fine tune at the actual dyno.
I've also heard of others using an egt... The expensive wideband o2's have this function built in, but doesn't this halmeter one have that function too? Just not as accurate?
