my friend wants to put his VACF in his clock spot in his G3 teg. I was wondering if anyone has ever done it and if so do u have pictures???? please let me know

 

i have seen it done saw pics on this site but it was a while back maybe someone has them...

 

im doing that in a week

 

i wanna see pics of that and let me know how hard it was and what was the easiest way to do it

anyone else got pics? cause i think it would look sick

 

I would not recommend mounting it in a permanent location that is out in view of outsiders. Just gives people more eye candy incentives to steal your stuff. I would say put it in the glovebox, and only have it out when tuning.

 

i thought about it...but instead i fabricated a piece of metal and mounted it where the ashtray and cig lighter would normally be.

well i plan on putting my safc in the place of the radio dont have one dont need one...

yes my friend did it in his ITR.

 

I'm not sure on the exact size of the VAFC but i mounted my old skool style RSM in the clock position, it fits perfectly, people have even thought that it came in the car as standard!!!

I thought you guys were talking about putting the VAFC inside the clock location...this way you could buy a itr clock blocker and hide it. The thing is you'll probably have to cut out some of the dash.

I agree with the others though, you really don't want it in plain view.

i would put it in the glove compartment to keep the theives away, considering how many tegs are stolen. im not saying that they arent still gonna be stolen but the probablity may be less.

 

I'd just put some velcro on the back of the VAFC and somewhere that it won't matter to put adhesives on your car... Whenever you leave your car, pop it in the glove box or somewhere.
