Default Oil Radiator from Racimex

Hi everyone, just got my Racimex oil radiator kit from Idol Motorsport, Germany and i have some questions:

where's the best spot to install it. I don't think i can install it on the right side because of some A/C tube in front of the radiator. The SS braided tubes are 1.5 meters long, will i have problems installing it on the left side of the Radiator's car?

thanx in advance

Is an oil radiator really needed? Isn't the stock oil cooler sufficient for track days and so on? If you have A/C then it will be difficult I think. How about in front of the A/C condensor.

i just found out where i'm going to install. there's enough space in front of the a/c radiator.

The oil cooler is indeed needed. I don´t know if you have an oil temperature gauge on your car, but if you have, you can notice that on a track day or long miles on the autobahn the reeding can go way past 160 degrees. That is too much, it robes you power and long live of your motor. With the oil cooler even on long trackday, hard driving and I mean hard, it barely goes over 120, that also means that you don´t use up so much oil. So the cooler is very important and more so, if you have a tuned car that does 9000rpm or more. It all depends on how long you want your motor to hang around. Many people don´t realize the oil temperatures that a ITR can acomplish, because the temperature shown on your stock display is for water and always shows normal readings. But water has nothing to do with oil.
This, as I may ad, is all track tested on the famous Nürburgring in Germany during hard race conditions.

Luckily I did sessions of 3-4 laps on track days. After 4 laps I cooled down the brakes and oil.
Does the oil cooler come with a thermostat? Because it could cool the oil too much during normal driving.....

Yep, the cooler kit comes with a thermostat, that kick´s in at 85 degrees, so no problem there! Darkteg has the right stuff alright!
