Default bike hard to get in gear 01 cbr 600f4i

When I gear the bike all the way down to first, pop it in to N, and then try to go back in to 1st, it will not go in to gear unless I let out the clutch a little, then she will go in...But if I gear the bike down to N, but do not go all the way down to first untill I am ready to take off, then click it in to gear, it goes in fine...I tried adjusting the clutch cable on both ends, but still no luck....Can anyone suggest something???I just got the bike a week ago, and this just started to happen this is driving me crazy......Thanks...

My bike does that every now and then. I don't know what the hell the problem is. I try to ignore it.

The transmission is design to be shifted while you're moving. If you're at a complete stop and try to shift, it won't go into gear. All bikes are like that, nothing to worry about... unless you were trying to shift while it's moving and it does that.

He's not talking about shifting gears here. He's talking about putting it into first from neutral at a light. Of course a bike is designed to be put in first at a stop. It happens to me every now and then, pretty seldom though, but I just give it another push down and it goes in. Try changing your oil and use a semi or full synthetic oil.

My old 250 did the same thing once in a while, my F4i does it too once in a while, my friend's 00 ZX6 does it too, so does another friend's R6. If you come to a complete stop and in neutral or in a higher gear and you want to shift down. Once in a while it won't go to the next gear, or from neutral to first or vice versa, without letting out the clutch a little or move the bike a little. That's how the transmission is.
