Well what do you guys think about me using an Integra Gsr tranny instead of the Ls cable tranny and or the j1 tranny for my b18b in my crx.

If you use the YS1 from the U.S. spec GSR, that will be a real SHORT geared tranny. Its final drive is the same as the S1 or J1, but the 1st and I think 2nd gears are CRAZY short. I love mine!! (Plus, you are able to find parts from your local Acura dealership for this tranny)

I would run a Y1 for your LS if you keep it all motor. It geared shorter than the "LS" tranny, but not too short like the YS1 or J1/S1.

Since your car is a light CRX, you dont need too short of gearing to start accelerating the car. Plus, you are running a LS motor which has the Torque, but does not like to rev as high as the Vtec motors.

I'm a high rev, Vtec motor guy. Ive run J1, S1, YS1 ( both JDM and U.S. spec) in all of my Bseries VTEC EF's.

I have a customer that runs a U.S. spec B18b LS motor with a JDM Y1 tranny and he loves it!!
