Tranny Rebuild question: should I be able to turn the input shaft in neutral?
Just got done putting synchros in my H22 tranny. Got the case back on but unable to turn the input shaft. Does anyone know if the tranny's input/main shaft can be trun or spin? I rather not put this back in the car until I know. Thanks in advance for the info.
The answer is yes. I've found the problem. I cant believe nobody answer me on this. But the problem was with the 5th gear synchros. It was stuck. The input shaft turns in neutral and in all the gears. For anyone rebuilding their tranny. Check make sure you can get in all the gears and input shaft turns.
