Default 2000 GS-R help!

I just got a 2000 GS-R w/ low miles on it. What would me the best thing to modify on it for the best overall gains? Exhaust?, Air Intake? What? Willing to spend quite a bit on it.

help.

what are your goals?
what do you want to do with this car? ie. race/daily driver- both?
also.. all motor or forced induction?

Go with OEM body kit, before you do anyhting.. the car looks "naked" without it!

I would suggest staying on this board and looking at what people have to say about their mods.

Many have recommendations on what to get and what not to get.

You can't really go wrong with an AEM cold air intake or Comptech Icebox.

if you're still on stock tires, get rid of those pos asap.
other than that, i 'd start with suspension;
-nice coilover
-itr sway bar with bsq kit.

First get yourself an intake of your choice. Next either go with a suspension setup or a header-cat-exhaust system.

First, for the engine, you need to figure out what power goal you want to have and what you are going to be using it for. if you are drag racing it, youll probably want something with more power in the top end. if you are auto-xing it, you are gonna want midrange.
Suspension, if you are auto-xing it, you are gonna want to mainly hit this area before anything. all ive done to my 91 LS is Ground control, Koni yellows, and ST sway bar set, and i tore up all my buddies GSRs and LSs with R engines. if you are gonna drag it. you can probably just get away with springs, stiffer in the back to hold the front wheels down.

Man, you gotta do some crazy **** to that car. Get a 5 lug conversion, drop it on some tein suspension, strap some Advan RG bronze rims on them. Then gut your back interior out, put Recaros in, swap your front clip out and put a JDM Front Clip in, leave your back bumpers b/c the 98-01 conversion looks great. Put an OEM side skirts, front lip, and rear lip on. Run an RSR exhuast too, cuz it's quiet and gets the best horse power gains on the DYNO Then run low compression pistons on your motor, port n polish the head, then BAM! Swap in ur turbo kit and boost 16 lbs(w/ ur boost control, air-fuel mixture, and vtec controller) and smoke some S&#$*T. Screw daily driving, this is now just your weekend car
