ok i already searched and this has been asked but not answered! so i need to know exactly what wire to connect the shift light to? i know that the tach has an rmp indicator wire, but what one is it? what color and stuff any help is appreciated thanx. maybe when i pick it up tomarrow there will be good instructions but i want to know exactly before tomarrow so i can get it done fast and right right away!!!!!!!!!

 

come on!!!! i know that u can use the blue wire on the dizzy but i want to know witch one on the tach is the one u can use

 

what color wires do u have to choose from

 

there are a whole **** load of them but i think that i am just going to run it to the dizzy much less complicated

 

start up your car with the dash taken apart, then theres a connector on the far drivers side thats plugged into the back of your gauge cluster. take a mulimeter and set it to read AC Volts. take one probe and ground it to the chasis, then the other probe and check each wire on the connector until it reads around 6 volts AC. that should be the wire that you use. make sure you're reading AC, not DC.

 

oh i thought u ment which wire on the tach was the tach input wire. if your talking about which wire in the gauge cluster, its the blue wire on the connector farthest to the left
