Ant. won't go down
My ant is stuck in the up posistion and won't go dow. I think I can hear the motor running but nothing happens. I can't find a fuse (if there is one) either. It's a 95 SE 4dr.
The mast is f'ed. Just about everyone of us has, does, or will have this problem. You can get a new mast, or just do what I did and unhook the power to motor. :D
I had the S2K conversion, and it looked good. I ended up getting my antenna shaved because some doofus hit me and I got a new 1/4 panel. Anyway, what happens is the plastic geared line chips off teeth or breaks completely. You can disconnect the plug on the motor if you don't like listening to it.

Don't do that.
Remove the antenna nut, turn ON the radio and pull out the old one. Put in the new and turn OFF the radio, which means the new one will feed down into the reel, just remember which side the teeth were on when you pull out the old mast. Put the nut back on and you're done.

S2000 conversion, I love it. I had the same problem with my old stock antennae. I turned my stereo on then let it fully extend, then pushed it down a bit then turned the radio off and it caught and went down, but that's kinda ghetto doin that all the time. I just bought an S2000 conversion, it's awesome, costs only 60 bucks.

happened to me, but mine wouldnt go up.. i want to do the s2k conver, but i can still hear the radio while driving. not the best reception, but its good for me.
mine did that too, but it was from a bend when one of my jackass friends pushed on the antenna...i have a short temper, and let it extend all the way (it wouldn't go down past half way) and ******* bent it at the little **** at the bottom until it snapped off....anyways where can i get the s2000 conversion at?
