Default HELP! Clifford alarm related

I have the intelligard 8000 and am having a problem with it recently... Sometimes when i arm the alarm, i get no response or when i am able to arm it, i cant disarm it... Anyone ever had this problem? The battery is fine, i tested it already. Any thing else that could be wrong?

What I do when i cant disarm it, i open the door, and punch the blackjax code in and attempt to start my car... Only then am I able to press the button and disarm.. Please help if u had this happen to u before.. Thanks...

Sounds like you might of blown on of your alarm fuses check the 2 under the hood and make sure they are ok, and i would also check your brain to make sure no wires came undone, maby even bring it back to the place you installed it and have they take a look at it, if a shop installed it they should stand by there work, my shop in my sig, does all my alarm work and nothing has go wrong with mine.

I have herd of Vangurds triping out sometimes, but it's always something to do with the wiring, getting striped or something not connected.

8000's were really quirky. The antenna's likely the cause of the problem, and the were fixed mid-production. Make sure that it's plugged completely into the brain and that the cable isn't wound up in a ball under the dash - it should run up to the top of the windsheild area by Clifford specs. Also, on the antenna wire, there's rectangle box about a foot from the connector. Pry it open and make sure that there's two green LED's on the circuit board - this will designate the updated antenna. Older ones only have one.
Is there a shop near you that has a Cliffnet PC they can hook up to it?

my gf had the same problem with her concept 200. It was a hooped antenna. I replaced it and the alarm has been fine since.
