integra gsr exhaust VS type r exhaust
I was wondering what the difference was between the stock gsr and the stock type r exhaust. I know that they look the same but are the really the same inside. I have compare looks and size but not what is inside the rear section. Does the type r flow better or are they the same????
well it's been said that the ITR exhaust flows 30% better than the GSR exhaust. ITR exhaust is mandrel bent and not crush bent like the GSR's. The ITR's is 2-1/4" while the GSR's is either 1-3/4" or 2"....i can't remember. Hope that helps.
Just wanted to clarify that the COMPLETE type r exhaust setup flows 30% better. That includes the exhaust manifold all the way back to the muffler.

Yes, the ITR muffler is designed to flow slightly better than the GS-R version. However, it's still a chambered design, and it isn't a drastic improvement.
