I took out my air intake to clean the tube and I noticed that the tube rubbed against an AC line. Luckly it only broke the foam wrapping around the AC line. Then on an area near the bottom rubbed on the metal frame of the car and it almost ate through the AEM pipe.

I was so pissed. If my AEM pipe gets any worse, I'm going to just get a Comptech foam filter and use my stock box and tube.

Has this happened to anyone else?

 

I have heard of these two symptoms in other AEM users...hasn't happened to me personally...

 

just move the ac lines. it doesnt' make a big difference. The shape of the tube is real important to the flow. Thy didn't compromise flow by things rubbing. AEM is a great intake. The best performace mod for the money.
