'89 civic STD hatch... the heater stopped working. The fan no longer turns on when its switched from low->high.
The stereo has also lost power, but this is intermittant. The both seemed to stop working at the same time, but the stereo will work sometimes. The primary concern is the heater, and these problems may not be related.
I checked all the fuses (under hood and dash) and they're all good. Thoughts?

Could be your blower motor or your blower motor resistor. I would try running the blower motor right to the battery and see if it goes on that way if it does its your resistor if it doesnt time to buy a new blower motor.

Well, wiring the blower motor straight to the batteyr turned it on... where is this resistor?
I was thinking maybe the fan switch.... but what the deal with the resistor?

The resistor is on the top of the blower motor housing behind the glove box. Its a small rectangular thing with a wire connector going into it and has 2 philips head screws holding it in.
