yeah..i think the reason for all this jdm hype is because the stuff is actually functional....dont screw it up..its nice to see someone buy wheels becuase of how they perform..not just how good they look..keep it real homie..hehehe
If you dont like it, then dont like it. Dont buy it.
Do your research before you make general statements...there are replica pieces that perform VERY well at a fraction of the cost. So hes trying to save money, good for him.
Now buy the wheels and slap a Mugen banner on, then maybe youve got a point.

this board is totally full of HATERS now!
whats wrong with buying replicas or dare i say it... KNOCK OFFS! *gasp*
some people have BETTER things to spend their money on. And some people are financially better off than others and CAN afford 2grand+ on rims..
but the truth is..many people dont feel like blowing their life savings on their cars
sure if you can afford the real deal..more power to you. Just be thankful that you can afford it.. dont go off like some snob and clownin others less fortunate than you
oh yea to answer your question...
no i dont know of any company that makes imitation mf-10s. however rota makes the c8s which are modeled after the mf-8s

Haha youve gotta be kidding me...
Like I said. There are "replicas" out there that perform wonderfully, are extremely durable, and come with 1/4 of the price tag. In my eyes, the fact they look like Mugens or Spoons or whatever is waaaaaaaaaay outshadowed by the performance/price aspect.
Im with Saga....dont hate.
And 2KGS...who cares if he calls you a ricer. Relax dude its like he just told you he kidney punched your mom or something...people can say what they want, dont sweat it just do what you want.

Hey 2kGS boi, if you actually did some research you would have realized that mf10's are 5 lug only. Since you have a 4 lugger, the closest thing your gonna get is the Rota C8.
i want mf10's in bronze if i wanted the rotas i alrady would have bought them
I've never seen MF-10 reps, the rotas may be your only choice! Check out groupbuycenter.com as the rotas are on there for decent prices every once in a while
Ouch....everyone needs to chill!!!!
The closest that Ive seen is those AT Flashs on Tirerack...and like Effect says, I dont even know of any MF10 copies at all.

a quality forged rim is gonna cost bucks..no way around it..rays(they make the mugen wheels) and desmond(spoon) are very popular becuase they stay together pretty well under heavy abuse..ive hit some awful potholes at highspeeed that shoulda taken the wheel out..im glad a put up the extra clams and bought them..wheels and tires are the most important upgrade..instead of buying some extra engine parts or suspension..save your money and buy a good set of wheels..

umm, the 16" rota c8's looks very much like the real mf10's, except for 1/4 the price and slightly heavier weight. it's still a fairly light rim @ 16 lbs.
here are some 15" c8 pix:

I dont know about all that...our stockers are pretty light as it is. The $2000 on Volks is a bit much when you consider that the same $2000 could be used for boost or an amazing suspension...
pardon the stupidity but what exactly is "unsprung weight"? I've always wondered..
i know mf10's are 5 lugs but i am also looking into a 5 lug conversion, i am just trying to do all of this cost effectiveley, i have posted a couple questions about 5 lug conversion but liek i said i think ill do more research before asking anyone anymore
