Default battle of the imports chicago (cheater story)

I'd like to thank the CHEATERS AT SPEEDQUEST for ruining the competition in the street performance class. All of the cars running in that class are allowed an engine swap (4 cyl N/A) and bolt on's, but no power adders (e.g. NOS, turbo, or any FI). Speedquest took this to mean that they could cheat and win if they got away with it. They're white EG hatchback was running a type R motor as many other in the class were, but with a set of monster turbo sized slicks and the addition of NOS. These fools didn't even have the intelligence to hide it very well at all, and put a 10lb bottle in the trunk under the carpet. The nitrous line was run to the bottom of the intake pipe right before the throttle body where you would normally install a jet, and then covered in a heater hose, looped under the fuel filter and run through the firewall right behind the filter. After calling them out on it, they had the audacity to take off a phony airbag cover and show us the line didn't go any where for about 1 sec, then quickly replaced the cover. I at least gave them enough credit to be using a sneaky pete, but apperantely they didn't have enough common sense among them for that. The best they could muster on that setup was a 13.0 (best of day) at 106 mph. Bottom line here: Thanks for ruining that class, and to anyone that would consider going there, if they don't have the morality to be honest in a drag racing event, what stories will they feed you about your car?

man i was allover that car i saw it in the pit area and looked at it and taught that it would run a mid to low 14 then i saw it ran a high 12 i had to go back an check it out i waited for him to come back to his pit area but he never did his friend told me that it was a stock type r with a little head work i find that hard to believe that a stock b18c5 in a hatch like mine with a full interior ran that but i didn't see the nos wasn't looking for it
i finally talked to the guy and he told me that it was stock and the bottom end was blueprinted
oh well
between him and his 2 friends i got 3 stories
cheaters never winnnnnn

So he didn't win because after it he was called out and kicked out then? Sucks that there are cheaters out there. Most comply to the rules, but those who don't ruin it for the rest.

hahahahahaha.

a c5 spraying in a hatch w/ slicks went 13.0? Thats it?

hahaha.

They deserved to lose. But then again, cheaters never win, so they were fcuked from the start if you ask me.

this motor has seen low 12's in a ef hatch
but do to the fuel system our top end was crappy
were running y1 lsd tranny..
our best mph with this b20vtec set up is 112mph from 112 to 84mph really sucked
just wanted to show the vehicles potential at the battle but the fuel system ruined it for us. next year we will be running the same car but will be in the 12's for sure
its to bad they only ran a 13.0@106 we run that on a bad day..
our car is not cut all of the interior is still in place never removed or reinstalled
were going to the track friday will keep you guy's posted peace out
Cheater's F*****G suck....

I met Evil type R at a few races at GLD and I talked to him over the weekend at Joliet. I like him a lot and he is a great guy. I was a little dissapointed when I heard about this, but I still think he is a good person. I hope he learns from his mistake.

Haha, that's funny ****...

That car is clean, but I knew it didn't have an all-motor 12 in it. I'm guessing that they sprayed it to live up to the claims, not to 'win' per se.

I'm looking forward to setting something up with this car...maybe RSD?

Heads up, you stay on the gun and spray the world at it for the hit...? Holla.

Well, we can be thankful that EvilTypeR is such a fool and made it so easy for me to find. I still can't beleive that he was dumb enough to put a 10lb bottle in the trunk, I gave him way too much credit thinking he used a sneaky pete in the dash. As a represenative car of speedquest, it just makes them all fools and will most certainly come back around to them. Go ahead and give them a call up at 847-223-9100 and ask for the 13sec. 10lb bitch bottle special

To all at speedquest: you can start using this to wipe

omg, if you were going to cheat, at least give it a bigger shot and break 13s in the final.

So your shop builds slow all motor cars and you need nitrous to keep up with the real cars.Thats sad.Does all the speedquest cars come with all motor hp in a bottle?
