Projector Headlight bulbs?
Just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with HID bulbs on projector headlights? Is it even possible to use HID bulbs with it, or will it do damage to the housing? Thanks in advance.
I saw low & hi beam hid's on an 03 Civic. He had the Denji headlamp kit & they looked great. I now plan on installing them on the wifes 97 Civic. She has the Denji kit too.
I wouldn't got there if you have H3's running in your aftermarket projectors, been there done that. light output was crappy due to the design of the housing not the bulb itself. All h3 housings are designed primarily for fog lights - which scatters the light - I could not get one simple level cutoff, instead I had several that were all crooked.I have got some pics (see my fs thread for 1 pic). I still have h3 philips ultinons if you want them IM me (I was gonna try to put them in my OEM fogs but i think it might be too much). good luck

edit: By the way - from the outside the looked sweet - but ACTUAL function was
I will be getting the h4 Hy-low kit from http://www.autolamps-online.com for my oem CTR headlamps (to insure proper cutoff)
You should look into retro fitting OEM HID PROJECTORS(from a bmw, audi, etc...) for best results IMO

Does it matter if I'm using the H1 style bulbs? Maybe, its cuz I already the money on it...but it looks somewhat brighter then the OEM headlamps. Anyhow...thanks for you help.
