I found a guys that was selling the camshafts and cam gears for $500 used for about 4 months for my 98 lude, is it a good deal? What to hp to expect? Everyone is telling to get the cam job done so my Vtec would scream. Can anyone else tell me there experiences with these camshafts and cam gears.What other parts I will need to get and how much installation should cost so I don't get ripped off.

 

Sounds like a good deal to me. Those cams go for $700+ brand new and the cam gears are about $200 or so brand new. The Skunk2 stage1 camshafts "on paper" appear to be a good setup for a stock compression 10.x:1 compression H22 motor. Another good cam for 10.x:1 compression is the Crower Stage2 which has seen very good results.
