Default door moulding

well i need a driverside door on my 89 CRX, when i am looking the main thing i have been paying attention to is the seat belt. ( it needs to be door mounted), my question is will a newer door work on my CRX? i heard the mouldign is different on the newer doors, like its taller or something?

can you tell what year this door is?

granted i need it black, but i can always paint a door without rust.

Looks like a 90-91 door cause of the moulding being solid and 88-89 came with an indented line down the middle of the moulding.

that is definitely a 88 door. Since it has the thinner bar along side the pillar, meaning it had seatbelts mounted on the chassis instead of the door, like the 89-91's.

pokemon, he's referring to crx doors, not civic doors.

88-89 crxs had fatter moldings and 90-91 crxs had thinner moldings.
88 had chassis mounted seatbelts and 89-91 had door mounted seatbelts.
88 had narrower door garnishes due to the lack of a seat belt, but i cant tell with that pic if its the narrower type or not. but it looks to me like its got the 88-89 molding. but i'm no crx expert. any 89-91 door should fit, just swap the molding to match your 89 if you get a 90-91 door. hth.
