Default Apex Power FC

Has anyone had any experiences with this product or know where I can find information about it? Does it totally replace the ecu? Does it run with stock sensors? Thanks

Damn...I didn't want to take mine apart, I spent way too long waiting for it to get here to me to risk screwing something up.

I have the PowerFC and it is fairly easy to program, that is if you have someone that knows what they are doing...any questions about it?

Does it retain the OE knock sensor retard capability?

.. Nope thats the only thing it doesn't retain...but from the options that it has you will be able to monitor the knock sensors output to the max limit before harmfull detonation happens.. hope this helped a little

I agree, as this is the only item that I'm not happy with, but I had already purchased a J&S Safeguard, so I'm not all that worried about knocking...the highest that mine gets up to is around 30, what about you?

It's a measurement of how much knock your sensor is reading, because of the valve train/combustion you will have a small amount of readings from normal driving, but the stock computer does not retard until you reach a certain point...the PowerFC will flash your CEL rapidly if you are around 60(I think). I have the English directions for the RX-7, if you're interested I could e-mail them to you.

Unless the RX7 and honda have the same ecu plugs, then top fuel
uses the FC made for the CTR/ITR. You are interested in which
one fits the plugs and has the proper base program.

GSR FC will work fine.
