Just Received Sway-Bar!!! Need Help w/ Install and Everything!
I just barely received my Integra Type R Swaybar from UPS about 10 minutes ago! Brand new with Honda sealed bags with all accessories, including a brand new Beaks mounting kit! I am really not to good with tools and cars, but I have read over the instructions many times on how to install the bar.
1) What will make the install smoother?
2) What would you recommend for this install? (Weird questions)
3) How long should the install take?
4) Is it easier to do this while installing springs?
5) Any problem bolts?
6) What parts from the old bar will I use?
7) ADVICE ADVICE ADVICE!!!
I want to put this bar on as soon as I can, but I want to make sure I do it right. If anyone can post pictures of their swaybars, or any references or anything, that would help!!
Thanks,
Isaac

Assumption: Beaks kit requires drilling out the ABS bracket hole just like the BSQ kit.
Tip #1: wear some goggles or wraparound glasses when you are drilling out the ABS bracket hole. You don't want metal shavings in your eye

Hmm....I just looked at my car and I was wondering if I have to remove my stock exhaust to install the bar? Also, where exactly to I put the reinforcement bars? I have the Beaks kit so there are two of them (came w/ package otherwise I would've purchased Bret's BSQ). (Still help me Bret...

Yeah, you have to remove the muffler to get enough room to do the drilling.
Another tip... I couldn't get off the old ABS nut that's welded on, since my jack wouldn't take the car high enough to get enough power into the chisel. So I drilled through the holes with the nuts still there, then chiseled away what's left and its a lot easier.
Also... be sure not to put it in upside down! I did this and it was rattling against the exhaust pipe.

Just curious who sells the bar w/ Beaks kit ?
It was tight but I was able to drill the hole w/o removing the muffler.
3) I got access to the overhead lift and the whole job took me about 1 hour
Most of the time was spend looking for the tools.
4) It had nothing to do w/ the springs.

Thanks you guys, still a little bit unsure, but hopefully it will all work out. I actually posted a "WTB" ad in the classifieds and someone had a new ITR Swaybar w/ Beaks kit for sale. All of the bolts, bushings, everything is in sealed Honda bags!! Right in front of me....MMMMM!! I just have to wait until I have time to put it on. Also, I don't have the instructions, if you could mail them to me that would be great! Idyfohu@hotmail.com Thanks!!!

You can refer to my Type-R rear swaybar installation instructions ( http://www.geocities.com/bretq/swaybar_install.html ). Everything should be the same except, in addition to having to remove the 2 tack-welded ABS sensor bracket nuts you will also have to remove the 4 tack-welded original swaybar mounting nuts from the inside of the subframe. Since you have to remove the 4 tack-welded nuts, you will probably need to remove the muffler to facilitate removing them.
1.) You will need to jack up the back of the car and support the car with jack stands.
2.) You will need a drill and drill bit to enlarge the ABS sensor bracket hole.
3.) You will need metric sockets and wrenches.
4.) You will need a hammer and a chisel to remove the 6 tack-welded nuts.
You should be able to look through my installation instructions and it should give you a good feel for the install.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

BSQ, I have a separate question that I hope you can answer. Do the stock non-ITR swaybars have endlink collars? The helms manual doesn't have it mentioned, but your site did. I think I remembered your old version stated 2 were needed and now it says 4. I hope that doesn't mean I'll have to buy 2 more from ahmotor
