room issues... d16z6/y8 greddy turbo kit & dual core radiator?
i was just wondering if there were any known room issues to this set up, if anyone has it?
88-91 crx
d16y6 most likely
greddy turbo kit
dual core radiator
i just wanna make sure it will all fit.
would a different radiator be better? is fluidine dual core?

i have 91 crx si with 91 civic Ex 4DR AT radiator(full width Honda oem dual core)
D16A6 block with Y8 head
SOHC Greddy mainifold, turbo, and downpipe
starion intercooler and custom charge piping
i had to use aftermarket radiator fan(FAL) to clear wastegate actuator and there is zero room for fan in front of turbo. it is a tight fit but it is there and works(so far)
as of yet, i have had no overheating issues but i don't use the a/c if stuck in traffic.
a friend of mine has a fluidyne radiator is his crx and by rough visual comparison it would be too tight to fit.

I'm thinking about pulling the fan right in front of the maifold to give myself some more room. I wouldn't imagine there would be to big of an issue with the temp because if you think about it, a lot of crx guys switch over to 5th gen civic half rads with the one fan, and those obviously aren't in front of the manifold directly so it can't be too bad if you wanna pull it. btw, I just yanked my a/c tonight just to give myself some room to put my turbo in. it opens it up hella in there. Good times!

I was just thinking about something last night when talking to a friend. We were looking at the old A/C compressor, and it had wires that ran to the fan in front of where the manifold sits. So I'm pretty positive that the fan is activated when the a/c is on because those things dump a ton of heat. Maybe that's already a known fact but I didn't realize it, so now I'm feeling completely confident that I won't have major heat issues. Good times!
