Default DOHC VTEC sticker...?

Did the integra ever come with this sticker like on the Civic Si's? My car came with it i bought it used from an Acura dealership. I took it off cuz i thought it was kinda ricey looking. I've also seen a couple other GSRs with them. Was it like some kind of option? I didnt think so but i was just checking.

Thanks, Chase

I think it was an option on Si's only. I've seen it on a few, but not all of them. On any other cars, it's just a rice mod.

I'm pretty sure people put them on just to advertise that they have a dohc vtec motor. I am 99.9% sure they don't come like that stock

GSR = little silver badge on back of car, stock

actually it was a factory option. my friend got his gsr new from the dealer in 98 with a dohc vtec silver sticker on the side. but this is also the one of the cars that come pre moded from the dealer. it had 17" kosei rims, dc sports exhaust, dac intake, dc sports header, oem kit. this was the best looking car from a dealership i have ever seen. he got it for his 16th birthday and his mom wrecked it three weeks later. needless to say it was a good car.

actually I saw a couple of cars show up at the dealerships like this that I can remeber

2 Green 4 Blue 2 White and 1 Black came off the haulers like this. It was only on the 98's I saw and most likely to capitalize on the SI's look

I have seen a bunch of dealer done ones including some RSX's

There is a honda dealership near me that sells aftermarket parts and installs them. cai's, cat-back exhausts, and stuff like that. kinda weird. I think its a conspiracy to void everyones warranties so they save $$$

actually if a dealership sells aftermarket parts for a car and installs them then it is warrantied on your car. it was just the smart thing for the dealerships to do so they can make the money on the aftermarket parts and so the customer stays happy.

yes and no.. the fact that they install it would help in terms of honoring a warranty claim but there is no way they would warranty a hydrolocked CAI equipped car whether they installed it or not.

true but it is also the dealerships fault to sell you with the warranty as an issue a cai.

The local Acura dealers do that around here as well. However, what they do is warrantied. I think it's actually an attempt to earn even more business. The problem with the dealer doing it is that it's way overpriced.

I would pay the extra buck to have, for example, a cai without voiding my warranty.

The CAI does not void the warranty

Headers and cats do unless it's a dealer that carries Comptech

which is confusing however most of the ish dealers get away with because people don't know there rights

Any aftermarket part does not void your warranty unless the dealership can prove that the part that was installed was the sole cause of the problem.

AHH, are you serious? A 16 year old should not have a car like that unless he works his *** off to earn it . I would know, I'm 17 and paid every damn penny for my Teg
And that SUCKS it got wrecked

when he was 15 he got into a big accident and got a huge settlement check. somthing like 64000 now and another 64000 when he turns 21. he was out of school for 5 months and had bad head injuries. pretty much he was lucky that he was still alive and he decided that he wanted a teg when he turned 16.
