Default s2000 vs. SRT-4

Two of my buddies raced last night. One with a bone stock s2000 with 2,400 miles on it, and the other with a srt-4 with intake and BOV. The first frun, the srt-4 had him by 4 cars at 100. The second run the srt-4 spun hard off the line and let off to get some traction. The s2k was about a car maybe 2 ahead by 60, but by 100 the srt-4 had him buy a solid carlength. I know most of you will just say the srt-4 is a POS, which I won't argue. I love the s2k and wish I had the cash to own one, they are sweet.

I just want to know if this sounds about right to you guys or if my buddy with the s2k needs to keep practicing. I know they both trap around 100 with usually low 14's, possibly high 13's, but how did this damn neon pull on him so hard? Do the s2k's need alot of time to break in?? Have any of you guys ran any srt-4s yet?? If so let me know if you won or lost. It's funny, because the same s2000 raced a different srt-4 the night before and beat it by a nose. The yellow ones must be faster! lol.

woah, i thought you were talking about me for a second. I just wanted to know if any of you s2k owners have stomped on any srt-4's yet. Also if the s2k needs more than 2,400 miles to break in.

The SRT-4 won't be able to keep up with a good driver in an S2000. The only problem is that a lot of S2000 owners don't drive them hard enough for them to be fast. If you drop the clutch at around 6 grand and shift at almost redline you will win against an SRT-4. Key to power in this car is to drive it like you stole it. I've won against GT stangs and Z28's but that was with a serious clutch dump and quick shifts.
