Default Stock LSD vs aftermarket

I tried doing some searching, but didn't find much pertaining to exactly what I would like to ask. My real question is, at what horsepower figure does the stock lsd become obselete, and it is much more beneficial to go to an aftermarket setup? I have an EG hatch that I'm doing an h23/vtec buildup on, and would like to see about 500whp. I'd like to hear your guy's opinion.

stock LSD will not last at that power.

A few ITR guys where having problems with STOCK motors.

Quaife and be done.

No probs w/ the ITR LSD and almost 400 whp w/ my car. However I am expecting it to explode sooner or later. I will just push and see how high of a WHP/TQ level I can push it.
