Hello!

So I had a ITR clutch and pressure plate installed last week end man... what a difference!!! it chirp tires in third gear yeah baby!

but my question is... I might be able to have a used JDM ITR 4-1 at a good price! I guess ill need a 2.5" catback right?! and can I bolt the stock muffler on it ?! Somebody know the stock Civic SI catback diameter?! and what is the ITR diameter?! Would it be a good upgrade over stock catback?! im thinking about having some ? ITR cams install later next year!

The JDM 4-1 header has a 2.5" flange, so you need a bigger cat. flange to mate up to it, or just a bigger cat. with an appropriate flange. The stock SiR mid pipe is 2.25 inches mild steel but crush bent, the ITR midpipe is 2.25 inches and mandrel bent, made of stainless steel. The ITR midpipe is about 2 inches shorter on the SiR, the rear section bolts up fine to the stock muffler, but the front section would be 2 inches short, you could weld in a small extension which isn't too hard, seemed to work fine on my car.

what about a test pipe?! will the check engine light turn on?!

 

Dunno about the US, but ITR midpipes in Canada are stainless steel construction. I just installed one on my car and it was stainless for sure.

I just put an ITR exhaust on my hybrid, it is definitely stainless and it was about 4" short for my 4dr eg. Its not polished stainless, but it is stainless.

ITR B-pipe is definetly stainless. Not polished, but stainless nonetheless.
